Infused Aluminum Prints
The HD infusion process uses high heat and pressure to turn archival ink into a gas and then trap the gas within the aluminum panel. Once cooled, the image is fused within the aluminum panel, resulting in a brilliant image with superior durability that offers long-lasting scratch, chemical, and warp resistance. These prints are crystal clear, high-resolution, and perfect for even the brightest, most detailed images.

UV Direct Aluminum
UV direct aluminum prints are created using direct UV-LED printing — applied to the surface of the aluminum, then cured with UV light to fix the print to the metal. Photos are printed at a very high resolution, and take on some of the metal sheen, making this option perfect for bold contrast and vivid images. And, with fading, warping, and cracking resistance, our durable UV Direct Aluminum art prints can stand up to almost anything.
3DHD Aluminum Metal Prints
All printed images are precision cut and converted into a 3DHD metal print by precisely folding back the edges with a 1” return. The image extends around the sides for a floating feel when displayed.
The result is a lightweight yet durable metal print with perfect, machine-radiused gallery edges—you’ll get the finished frameless look of a traditional canvas print, with a higher definition that can last a lifetime.
The Hanging Hardware
Every metal print comes with a built-in, cleat-style fixture that makes it easy to attach to your artwork to your wall. We design our hanging and printing hardware to withstand dimensional variances that happen over time. What does that mean for you?

DO YOU FRAME METAL PRINTS?

ARE METAL PRINTS HEAVY?
Despite the aluminum prints being metal, metal prints are relatively light. They are lighter than acrylic prints and weigh about twice as less. Even on large prints, installation is a breeze.
ARE METAL PRINTS WATERPROOF?
Metal prints can be treated like any other framed photo print, except they are a little bit longer-lasting. Submerging your metal print is not suggested; however, metal prints are ideal for bathrooms: can withstand much more moisture than other prints, such as the case of an acrylic print..
HOW DO YOU HANG A METAL PRINT?
Metal prints are easy to install and hang. Drill the wooden back mount to the wall and then use the cleat to attach it to the wall. The distance from the wall mount and the back mount will make the print look like it floats off the wall, giving it a modern style, perfect for any home or office decor. Our specially designed silver/black aluminum flush cleat gives your print the popular floating effect while offering rigidity. Our flush cleats are, in fact, .75" away from your wall and are installed flush to the edge, giving your print more visual depth.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY METAL PRINT? DO PRINTS FADE?
Yes. All prints fade over time, no exception. However, metal prints are more durable, fade-resistant, stand better against humidity and sunlight compared to other types of prints. Other things will keep your image from fading. Reducing the amount of direct sunlight the image receives and choosing lamination options for your custom metal print. Metal prints are durable, but it is best practice to keep your print in a safe location, cover and properly package when moving or storing your print. One of the best ways to maintain a print's longevity is to choose a reliable printing company. At Prolab, we only use the highest grade materials and inspect each of our images before they go out.
